Post Another Version (v2.52.0033) Another Headache
Running Orb v2.52.0033 on my black Macbook 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM. STILL has the problem of requiring a log in and indexing every time you restart the computer. But even worse, after restarting and logging in it crashes when it tries to index. The program does not create a Library/Logs/OrbNetworks folder on my machine so I have no logs to send.

I suspect that you have installed Orb in an account with administrator privileges, but trying to start Orb from a different user account (standard user account).

Make sure to logon to the account which has "admin" privileges, start Orb, index media and then you should see Library/Logs/OrbNetworks folder on your machine.

I tried this newest version today and the same thing .... as soon as I try to do a simple index, it crashes. and....

1. yes I have administrator privileges.
2. I unintalled the older version of orb with the terminal script that I got from this forum to start from scratch.
3. Running 10.5.8, Mac Pro, 8 gigs ram
4. Sending in a report after every crash (which is EVERY time I try and index)
5. I'm only trying at this point to just index my itunes music folder to make it simple (no, photos, no external firewire folders)

Please send us your logs folder (you can find Orb logs in /Library/Logs/OrbNetworks) to userlogs@orb.com, so we can try and help you

Make sure to mention this forum link in your email.
