 Updating OrbTVXML Files
I'm creating an add-on that will add PPV information to the guide data. Couple questions....
I notice 2 files in the "ORBTVXML" Dir, "Listings.XML" and "Intermediatelisting.xml" What are the differences in these 2 files?
I determained that if I edit the "Listings.xml" they show up on the guide imediately. So I would assume this is the file I need to edit/add the PPV info to.
Any suggestions or cautions?
Thanks

You are right, Listings.xml is the one that matters, it is read by Orb everytime you browse/search the TV guide. Intermediatelisting.xml is a temporary file used when adding the newly downloaded programs every day.
One thing to watch for, listing.xml will be overwritten every day when Orb updates the TV Guide (this is scheduled at 1am). So you will have to edit the xml everytime it's updated by Orb.

OK, thanks for the warning, I will schedule mine to update the file every night just past that time.

I'm almost finished with this add-on, but have a question about the XML files... I was never able to get the TV listings to download on my machine via the original software. I had to download the utility from Zap2it.com then have it download the listings...
My question is, are both file formats the same? Could someone post the files the original software creates so I can compare the 2 diffrent methods of getting the listings.
Thanks

Can't do attachments on this BB, and the listing.XML file is about 2mb.
It does however look to be the same format as normal XMLTV listings files.
