Post Audio Streaming to WII Stops after first Song on Flash 8
My issue is that I can stream audio just fine except that the WII Flash player will not advance automatically past the first song of the album or playlist. The song completes, but the gray bar filler never makes it to the end of the progress bar, while the blue bar filler does (not sure what that means, if anything). I am able to advance each song manually, however.

My configuration info:
* ORB v. 2.50.0185 on Windows XP
* Just upgraded the WII Flash player to version 8 (from 7 per WII request)
* Linksys wireless-G Broadband router - fw version 1.00.9
* UPnP is enabled on the router
* WEP encryption
* I followed the steps to enable the port range forwarding for ports 80, 554, 13398-13401
* Sygate firewall with UPnP allowed (also, if I temporarily enable all traffic the issue persists)

Not sure what else to try. I noticed other folks in the forum have had this problem a couple years ago, only to be resolved with an ORB update. Could this be a Flash 8 compatibility issue, now that WII wants all to upgrade?

Appreciate any help.

Thanks for the detailed info.

How about streaming audio album or playlists on your Orb PC via Orb Flash Player?

It works fine when I use the Orb flash player on my laptop. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option on the WII.

I just tried and it is working fine for me. Note that you do not need to select the streaming format on your Wii as it will be automatically detected by Orb as soon as you logon to http://mycast.orb.com via your Wii browser.

I am having the same problem as dchimitt. Has anyone found a fix for this?

As indicated above, it works fine for us.

More details like your Orb Version , Exact OS, WII Flash player version would help us to identify the problem. Details please...

Hello,
I set up Orb2.0 last night and am experiencing the exact issue states in this post using my Wii console. Will not play/shuffle all will hang after the first song everytime. You can manually advance to the next song without a problem. Flash player works fine from my PC and my laptop. I can not find anything wrong in terms of setup.

Here is some info:
Orb Version: v2.51.0032
OS: Windows xp Home Edition 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090804-1435) Service Pack 3
Wii: 4.2u
Opera v9.30 build 3642

Any help would be great!

The latest Wii internet channel uses Adobe Flash Lite 3.1.

What file types you have in your video playlists?
Did you create those playlists via Mycast?

I am having the same problem as outlined in the original post of this thread. I am trying to stream music or videos using the Wii’s version of the Opera browser. In either case (music or video) the player will not advance to the next track in a playlist. I have started playlists in the following ways:

- Logged in to mycast via my computer’s browser. Created a new playlist of 3 music files. Went to the Wii, opened up Wii Opera Browser, logged in to Orb. Selected Music and then Playlist. Selected the playlist I created, and then selected Play All
- Logged in to mycast via my computer’s browser. Created a new playlist of 3 video files. Went to the Wii, opened up Wii Opera Browser, logged in to Orb. Selected Video and then Playlist. Selected the playlist I created, and then selected Play All
- Opened up the Wii Opera Browser and went to Music. Went to Album and selected an album. Chose Play All
In all of these cases the output is like the original post. The first track will play. The gray bar will stop before the end. The blue bar and the actual song or video will play to the end. At the end of the track, it will not advance to the next track.

It is possible to listen to an internet radio station fine. I loaded up a 1.FM station and played it for 15 minutes straight. This leads me to think there is a problem moving from one file to the next.

The Wii Opera browser was updated around September 1. This update changed the version of Flash the browser uses. The current version of Flash on the browser is Flash Lite 3.1. I do not remember having this problem before the browser was updated.

I am playing mostly .avi and a few .mkv files, the playlist was created with MyCast. This also happens if I select "shuffle" from with in folder (I have not tried "play all").

Thanks to everyone in this thread. We confirm that this issue is reproducible with Flash version 9 and should be fixed in an upcoming version of Orb.
