I saw the other "1 second video" thread, but that file specific - none of my videos play for more than a second or two.

I want to buy the full version of OrbLive, but from my understanding the free version should work normally with the three randomly selected videos. There's nothing crazy going on here, just the videos stored locally on my MacBook. No NAS, no external drives, none of that. And both devices (the MacBook and iPhone) are on the same local network.

Mycast seems to play videos fine, however.

I really want to buy the full version but can't until I'm confident this is going to work right. I've restarted both the server and the iPhone since installing the app. Any thoughts?

I have the exact same issue. Running iMac and iPhone 3G on local wifi. Can play all videos on my iMac. Videos play for about 2 secs on iPhone and skips to the next video. I'd like to upgrade as well but not until this issue is resolved. Unless it just doesn't work ...

I have the exact same problem on a Mac Pro and an iPhone 3GS on a wifi network with OrbLive. Very frustrating. Hope it gets fixed real soon.

Same here. Orb 2.52.0028 on my Mac Mini. OrbLive Free on my iPhone 3G. I've tried testing over WiFi on my local network and no video plays for more than 3 seconds before skipping to the next video. If you need any log data from my computer please let me know.

I also have this problem. I do hope there is a quick answer or a way to get a refund

I was surprised when I didn't really see any posts describing the problem I had, and thought maybe it was just my set up. Guess not ... ?

My videos are in a usb hard disk plugged to an airport extreme and networked to my mac pro, works flawlessly with xbmc from my xbox

Tried with jailbroken and non jailbroken iPhone 3G over wifi

tried with videos in my hard disk

Divx videos and mp4 h264 videos

I have the same behavior using the free app. I'm glad I tried before spending $9.99. I only tried the free version because I could not get video to play at all (getting unknown exception error) using mobile Safari at http://mycast.orb.com.

Guess I'll stick with Air Video...bummer.

I had he same issue of a video and playing only a few seconds. I then went into setting and re-calibrated my upload and download speeds in MyCast. I then played a video and it stopped again, I opened right away again and it played all the way through. seem to have the same issue with every video now but the once open then again is not too big a pain.

Well now I can't even start the Orb server client (OSX) because it crashes at start up. It does not seem to have retained or be able to access my log in.

Recalibrate does't work for me.

256 kb/s is the slowest upstream anyway..

I have the latest Mac Desktop version of Orb, and the latest OrbLive ($9.99 one) and whenever I go to play videos from my iPhone, they play for a few seconds and then go back to the video selection screen. Is anyone else having this issue, and is there anyway to fix it?

I can actually see and hear the sound coming from the video, but it just quits, so I don't think it's a codec problem..

We confirm this bug and it should be fixed in the upcoming update which is expected to be released at the earliest.

Sounds good. I hope you guys can get this resolved, 'cause I'd really love to buy your program (and recommend it to friends). But I can't really do that until it works on my machine.
