Post develops plese amswer quick question
hi if you change the direct stream ports in configuation and then make the necessay port forwards and or/etc...should the stream then come to you via say port 82 or 558 as youve nominated. i apologise in advance for the qusston but its critically important for me as my carrier blocks 554 (i have nokia).so months ago i changed the port ....it eventually worked with the stream properties indicating the port stream id nominated ...since then im feeling like takin a long walk off a short pier it stopped working dont know why. in the stream information port its always 80 or 554 (and thus not working on nokia only on pcs -but then port is always 80 on pcs or windows mobile...maybe im wrong and it stays 80 (doubt it) .....have i missed something ...should it stay 80 and 554 even if you say otherwise.im completely lost even some brief words i would be indebted. oh and it always say direct stream not working being blocked by firewall etc. to say ive tried everything would be an understatement. no firewall (in router or comp, dmzed it, have forwarded so many different ports to get it to work, upnp off and on,checked registries, orb cleanup utility , ...bought and tried 2 new routers...the same. get the drift.please respond.....cheers

I'm not a developer but your questions need to be slightly more detailed if someone is going to help you

1.) What operating system are you using
2.) What router do you have
3.) Do you have a single profile setup or multiple in the Orb Desktop client, have you updated the correct one?
4.) What exactly are you trying to stream and what error do you get?
5.) Has your dekstop IP changed and your router is still maybe referencing the old IP when trying to forward the ports?

Port forwarding means you can choose any available port and have all traffic forwarded to an internal address and port of your choice. Make sure to run a netstat and check that the ports you are forwarding to are actually listening for a connection on that desktop

Let me know the answers to the questions above

Thanks
