Post New Installation WinHome 7 Pre; Orb won't build media DB
I used Orb before successfully with Windows Vista. I recently did a clean up grade to Windows 7 32-bit home premium and reinstalled Orb 2.51.0032. While it will scan my media folder and count the number of media files, these files are never actually added to the Orb media database and when I try to view my library on the web orb interface or on my iphone, it shows no videos and no music files. I have plenty of both, and it is scanning the directories that these files are in. These folder have sharing permissions assigned.

I have tried this with my AntiVirus/Firewall software entirely uninstalled and there is no difference. In the File Browser via the web interface, I can in face browse to my media files, and it shows them, but the only option I have is to download them.

When I try to browse folders in my iPhone app, video or music, it shows that there is "no content."

Just wanted to make it clear. When I try to refresh the library, it does in fact count hundreds of media files. But it never goes past "processing 0 of [x]" and the files are never added to the database.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please try the following and let us know for results:

- Start Orb
- Remove all media folders added to Orb Orb tray. (Orb tray - Control Panel - Media Sources - Remove all folders - Click Refresh
- Quit Orb
- Change LogLevel to 4 (see instructions below)
- Add and Index your media folders and then zip up and send us your Orb logs to userlogs@orb.com so we can try and help you.

To set Log Level to 4 (debug mode - generates more log information which helps diagnosis):
1. Stop Orb - Click Start > Run > then type: regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | Software | OrbNetworks | Orb , then double-click LogLevel, enter 4 and click OK - Start Orb and try again.
