 2.51.0032 - green screen issue
I have been running Orb on a Windows vista machine for almost a year now. A month ago I installed version 2.51 or so, I don't remember the exact version. At that time the TV streaming have very poor quality. It was almost like I had a very poor Internet connection. I traced the IP Packets and verified that I did have a local LAN connection for my stream. I also tried my windows mobile phone and it showed a extremely poor stream the WMP screen was almost green. I decided to uninstall that version and revert back to 2.01.0049. Everything went back to normal. Recently I have been having issues with the Program Guide. The guide doesn't seem to be updating anymore, the whole guide is black. I installed version 2.51.0032 tonight and noticed my streaming issue is still there.
I am perfectly satisfied with version 2.01.0049 I just need the TV Guide to work. zip=55057

I would strongly recommend you to use 2.51.0032.
I just tried with our windows mobile, didn't notice any streaming issue. Please let me know your tuner & phone make/model, exact vista edition so i can try and help you and also mention about the quality when you stream on your Orb PC or another PC.

PC Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 Dell Inspiron 530 Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz 3.00 GB RAM 32 Bit OS Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 Driver version 1.62.26028.0 Mobile Phone HTC Touch Pro Windows Mobile 6.1 The quality used to be great in High Def digital on a remote pc. Now its almost like i am wearing glasses with a bad prescription. It almost looks out of focus. I am guessing its a codec problem but then what do I know. Here is a screen capture of some video i uploaded to a server. http://www.screencast.com/users/tcbusch ... 490d21902e

Re: 2.51.0032 has poor stream quality and 2.01.0049 has no guide
I have an old HTC 6700 that still works over WIFI, so i decided to test it as well. It shows a green screen as well. The 6700 is configured to stream over TCMP and my HTC Touch pro is configured to stream over Windows Mobile Media player. Both show green screens.
Could it be Dscaler?

It appears to be a codec issue but not sure and i have K-Lite codec installed on my machines and using internet explorer on my windows mobile device (old HP Ipaq).

Re: 2.51.0032 - green screen issue
Yup, its the codec. I installed K-Lite and the green screen went away. If I remove K-Lite the problem comes back. I would rather not use K-lite, it doesn't use the full screen on my phone, there is a border. The sound crackles and pops sometimes too. Sure would be nice if we could get the codec selection combo box back, or maybe get the current codec issues resolved. I was very happy with the 2.01 video stream.

Which codec is it exactly? Can we somehow fix it using ffdshow? Updating Dscaler?

Re: 2.51.0032 - green screen issue
I installed K-Lite with no success.
It said that a bunch of Orb's directshow filters were "broken", and asked if I wanted to remove from the directory. I said yes.
I did not install XVID, DIVX or FFDSHOW, as I already have those on my computer.
Still have green screen.
