i have orb installed on my windows vista machine at home and i have multiple members of my family that would like connect to watch the videos on my computer from places other than at home. everything is working fine but i cannot seem to add more than three users. i currently have three and when i go into the users section the add button is grey out. if i remove a user i can then add another one but i can never get above three. i was wondering if there is any way to get past this or if this is a limitation in orb. thank you for your help

Please note that you can only add 3 (at the max) users via Orb tray.

is there any other way to add more users other than the tray?

Do you know why there is a limit of 3 users and will Orb ever allow more then 3 users ?

I am trying to setup a Media Streaming / Sharing at home and need at least 4 different accounts (need to limit what the kids can access)

The restriction is due to the fact that processing capabilities of an average home PC wouldn't be able to handle multiple concurrent requests/streams. So as per design, at this time only 3 users can be added to Orb tray.

What happens if I have a better PC than the average ? Surely I should be able to decide how many users I have, I only use it for serving media around the home ? Is there going to be away to have more than 3 users in the near future ?

Thanks for the article about limiting what people can access, why can't you limit access to web cam feeds and the file browser ?

KevM would creating a shared playlist solve your problem? There is no limit to the amount of content you can share with other users..

The only users I give direct access via the orb control panel are users that want to watch liveTV.. My sister lives in NY and she like the local footbal games.. So she can watch those.. But for people that just want to see my video files.. I create a playlist and share it to their email address..

Thanks for the suggestion devnull I will look into that, however sharing Live TV is one of the reasons I started to use Orb
