I want to make you aware of an issue that is occuring on my ORB installation and hope it will be addressed in the upcoming ORB release for Windows 7 promised for the end of October.

ORB's library refresh program comes to the foreground every 30 seconds (maybe 60 seconds) to do the usual library refresh. It is very annoying that it pops into the foreground to do this refresh and would be better handled in the background. This seemed to start happening when I added files from other local drives beyond the ORB default drives. But, I don't think this is the cause. Interestingly, as I have started to type this post, the popup has occured only once in the last 5 minutes. Oh, that's right, it only does it reindexing job when the computer is idle.

So, I know that the only solution for the moment is to live with it or go to ORB Control Panel and turn off Reindexing of the Library.

I don't have anything to say about constant refreshing, but I did just want to second the idea that the foreground pop up for the orb refresh is highly annoying.

Orb is on my media center PC, and it now seems to want to pop up a foreground window every 1-2 hours to refresh, which is very annoying when it does so in the middle of a program. Further, even an alt-tab does not seem able to put this annoyance back into the background.

Give an option to do this scanning in the background (please). I don't want my only choices to be an outdated library (not useful) or turning off orb most of the time (very inconvenient).

Thanks for heads up!!!! This issue has already been resolved in the upcoming update of Orb, which is in QA at this time.
