 live webcam used to work-after update 2.5 - it doesn't!! I'm so angry. I updated to the new orb ver 2.51.0032 and now I can't stream my webcam or watch my tivo recordings. I've had Orb 2.001 since May2009 using on my Iphone3G, I couldn't get the tv to work. So, I thought maybe this new version might fix the problem. Now I get maybe 1 channel and no webcam. I get error message:
"Connection to the stream time out. Try decreasing the desired quality." I get the same message with my tivo recordings. I can watch the converted tivo recordings, but, the quality is much poorer.
I tried reinstalling old version. But, the webcam still didn't work, so, I reinstalled the 2.5 back on.
The webcam still doesn't work. Actually it worked once. and my tivo recordings come on all broken up.
The webcam does work on mycast. Any suggestions for getting to work again on my Iphone??

Re: live webcam used to work-after update 2.5 - it doesn't!! I'm not sure what your particular problem could be; but I did get that error before and was able to fix it.
Go to settings, general and streaming speed. Check the box " so internet speed is not changed". (i'm not at my laptop, but it says something like that)
Now recalculate streaming speed, and click ok. This may or may not work for you. I had to try it a few times, but eventually it did.
I'm sure you'll get some better answers in time.
Oh, I still use 3G, wifi just does not seem to work for me. I'm sure there is an answer, but I just have not had the time to work with it. Hope you get it working, I know how frustrating it can be.

May I know the following to narrow down your issue: - What is the make / model of your webcam? - Are you able to stream webcam on your PC via http://mycast.orb.com using Orb FlashPlayer? - Do you get this error while using WiFi on your iPhone or 3G? PS: We also suggest you to install KLite codec and then try streaming Tivo files via Orb.

CANNOT stream webcam live using orb flashplayer on my pc via mycast.com. The Orb player comes on and DOESNOT stream the webcam. Just a circle in middle-like its trying to play.
CAN stream webcam live using both 3gp format and windows media format on my pc via mycast.com.
CANNOT receive webcam live on my iphone with any of the formats-message is: "Connection to the stream timed out. Try decreasing the desire quality."
I get this message using 3G and WiFi.
(Before I updated Orb I WAS able to receive the webcam live using 3G and wifi.)
I have KLite codec installed. I updated with newer version tonight. But, still no go.
The Tivo files are coming in very choppy and with a loud noise. (on 3G and WiFi) Then it stops playing. I notice a crash report is being sent.
( I WAS able to play these before I updated to the Orb 2.5 on 3G and WIFI)
Thanks for any other suggestions.

To narrow down this issue further, please set your LogLevel to 4 (for instructions see: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12841), try streaming few audio / video files on your Orb PC via http://mycast.orb.com and then try streaming webcam on your Orb PC via OrbFlashPlayer and Windows Media Player later zip up and send us your logs folder to userlogs@orb.com along with a screen-shot, so we can definitely try and help you.

Re: live webcam used to work-after update 2.5 - it doesn't!! Thanks for submitting your logs, we have escalated the same to the concern team.
We also suspect that this issue may be caused due to some codec conflict in your Orb PC. We request you to temporarily remove all codecs (Control Panel) from your Orb PC, then install Klite codec (only) and then try streaming your webcam via OrbFlashPlayer on your Orb PC.

Re: live webcam used to work-after update 2.5 - it doesn't!! I removed all codecs and reinstall Klite codec. The webcam is working now on the Orbflashplayer and on my Iphone. Thank you for your help. Really appreciate it!
