Windows 7 x64 - Orb Crashing while indexing data
I have read a few posts but my issue has not been resolved. I am running Windows 7 64-bit and everytime I attempt to index my music (music only), the application crashes and gives me a crash report with the following crash ID: CrashID=5809c728-c039-11de-bd02-001111446f21 These crash IDs are not the same but this is one that I received. I have sent my logs to userlogs@orb.com. Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. Let me know if you hear of a workaround.

Re: Windows 7 x64 - Orb Crashing while indexing data
Okay I am having the same problem.
I install and removed all my folders, and it is fine. Then I added a folder, and it goes to 79% and stalls on a movie file. So thinking it was a bad movie file I delete it. Then start process over again. Still, it stalls at 79%, only on a different movie. So I remove the entire movie folder from my index list and just do pictures. Then it gets to 79% and stalls on some random pic.
There is obviously a problem here. I have Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. UAC is turned OFF.
Any ideas?

I have already set the LogLevel to 4 before sending the logs to you guys. You should have received them already. I zipped all the logs in my logs folder and sent them over when I posted the original post.
Thanks for investigating. I'm missing my music while at work.

(Oops, posted in wrong thread earlier)
I have no such string in my registry. I have searched excessively, and it is just not there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and still none. I have no anti virus installed, no firewalls active.

If it is of any help to you guys, it seems to be stopping on folders or songs that have an ampersand (&) in the song or folder name for me. It doesn't always stop on the same one either.

Re: Orb Can Not Get Past "Indexing Content" Part of Install
I had the exact same problem as you, just wait and it will eventually install.

Thanks for the additional info. Please note that it is not easy to troubleshoot your issue without your Orb Logs in LogLevel 4.

I have already sent you the logs at level 4 (twice). If the registry key I have below is incorrect, please let me know. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Orb Networks\Orb\LogLevel

Quote: If the registry key I have below is incorrect, please let me know.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Orb Networks\Orb\LogLevel If you have installed 64-bit OS, then the registry path is correct. It looks like you have not restarted your Orb after setting Loglevel to 4. Your logs indicate that your .m3u playlist references are most likely incorrect. I would suggest you to remove / move .m3u playlist (00-va-riddim_driven-12_gauge-retail_cd-2007-ras.m3u / Playlist.m3u) from Orb index location and then try again.

Re: Windows 7 x64 - Orb Crashing while indexing data
I also have exactly the same problem, on Windows XP. Tried the idea with removing the .M3U files but this has not worked. What next? I can't believe it is to do with any of our files, as they have not changed since I had the previous version of orb. I actually upgraded to the newest version, after a problem with Orb running my PC cpu at 100%. I read in another forum that the new version fixed that issue, but now I can't get that version to work! I have an iphone and have bought the full app to use but can't. Very frustrating.
