Post Video Playlists in Mobile/Home Theatre layout in mycast
Due to the error I am getting (see post viewtopic.php?f=26&t=23017), I started using the mobile view on mycast from my PC, but I get errors trying to play a playlist..

Here is what I did...

1) create a playlist in mycast and verified that the playlist works in mycast PC for AJAX layout, and it worked
2) change my layout to mobile or home theatre (tried them both)
3) clicked to play the same playlist i just created and get an error in the client that says "Failed to open file: Could not find any plugin to render this medium. playlist.OlWb1iEn" over the orb picture that you get when it doesn't detect a tuner, but you try to stream a live tv channel..

Is there any reason why playlist I created in mycast only work in the PC for AJAX layout? Can I not use a playlist generated in mycast PC for AJAX layout in the other layout views?

You should be able to stream playlists created in AJAX even on Mobile or Hometheatre. So most likely the playlist you tried was not available or there may be some problems accessing that particular playlist. Looking at your logs would give us some clue, please send the same to userlogs@orb.com with a reference to this thread.

Thanks realist.. I have attached Logs and a flash video of screenshots to let you see exactly what is happening.. It should be pretty apparent once you see the video file and look at logs..

Thanks again..

Thanks for your effort in sending us the logs and flash video.

Let me have a look and revert at the earliest.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, we have forwarded the same to the concern team.

We need some additional information to narrow down your issue further:

- We suspect that the Windows Media Player installed in your Orb PC is WMP Ver12. Please confirm?

- To get a clearer picture of your issue, please install the latest Orb version 2.51.0032, try streaming those playlist with OrbFlashPlayer and revert with your results.

Thanks for response.. I am running WMP 11.0.5721.5268.. I am currently watching liveTV.. THe new version didn't work with my card when I upgraded.. So i will try the upgrade once my program goes off at 10amCST.. I will let you know if i get same results there..

Thanks

-- Update --

I have upgraded to latest version, and i can watch live TV with it now.. So I will use this version now.. Thanks..

However, the issue still remains about creating playlists in AJAX view, but not playing in other layouts...

Sorry devnull, I followed the exact steps given in the presentation but no luck even after trying multiple times.

I am unable to reproduce this issue in our labs, even the logs did not reveal much information about your issue. I suspect that this issue has many probabilities like environment or file type or PC specs, etc.
