Post File Not Found! Streaming Videos Windows Mobile
Hi

Ive tried to search forums to find an answer to my problem but cant find anything so i decided to post. Sorry if it has been discussed before.

I'm having trouble getting my videos to stream on my Samsung Omnia I910 phone with windows mobile 6.1. I have no trouble streaming the audio files on my account and i have NO TROUBLE streaming the test videos at the http://orb.test.com page on my phone in 2 different players. I also CAN NOT stream the videos on a PC. The only way i'm able to get videos to work at all is using flash player. This is way too low quality and too small on my phone as well as choppy. I can see them fine on the browser in Opera and i can navigate to find them i can even open the stream file in Coreplayer or windows media player. Once it tries to load it sais that the file is missing or corrupt in windows media player. In coreplayer it sais file not found and it gives my IP address and a file location after it but i can not see the entire file path because the screen cuts it off. Again no problem streaming Audio just Video.

I have allowed port 80 through the firewall as well as forwarded port 80 on my router to my computer. (I have 2 comps on the router only one has orb)
Also seem to be having trouble streaming audio on a PC . No connection in winamp and cannot connect to the server in windows media player. but no trouble streaming audio on my Omnia. just video. Also i can not find a setting anywhere on the Orb in my PC to change the Port mapping or disable TCP I did however notice that all the orb apps are allowed through the windows firewall and i have no other firewall. Also doing a "cmd" run of "netstat -a" shows that port 80 is listening.

Hope you guys can help cause id love to be able to stream my vids too.

Interesting that port 80 is listening.. I understand that Orb only starts a listen on port 80 when it starts a new stream.. (This is security measure.. So port 80 is not always open and succeptible to hacker attacks..)

Are you sure you don't have any other applications listening on port 80 already?

annother fact about my issue. all my audio files which i have no trouble streaming are on an external usb drive. my videos i do have trouble streaming are on a 2nd internal drive. i have tried refreshing the list. tried restarting. flash has no trouble finding the videos. streaming is the only problem and only for video. weird huh?

Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused, Firstly, we will work together and troubleshoot the streaming issue in PC via Windows media player then move on to your phone issue.

To narrow down your issue, please set Loglevel to 4 (see instructions below) stream few video files on your Orb PC via http://mycast.orb.com using Orb FlashPlayer, then try streaming the same video file using Windows Media Player later zip up your Orb Logs folder and send them to userlogs@orb.com.

PS: Make sure to reference this forum URL in your email.

To set Log Level to 4 (debug mode - generates more log information which helps diagnosis):
1. Stop Orb - Click Start > Run > then type: regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | Software | OrbNetworks | Orb , then double-click LogLevel, enter 4 and click OK - Start Orb and try again.
