.TIVO files could stream to my PC, my WII, my Blackberry Curve 8330, my Ubuntu Linux system, and to my HTC Touch Pro smartphone BEFORE I upgraded from 2.01.0049 to 2.5+ on Wednesday. Now the .TIVO files can't stream to any device listed. PC and Ubuntu (using VLC) shows a bunch of messed up video and no audio. Wii shows a frozen screen or two and just hangs. Blackberry shows a scrambled frozen video frame and gives an error. Something broke with the new version.

Is there a fix or workaround?

I mean, I can use Tivo Desktop to convert for a media player to .mp4 format, and it streams those just fine. But I want to stream the other .TIVO files that I could stream before.

I installed KLite_Codec using default options. Same or similar issues continue.

Results:
- Blackberry Curve 8330: Brings up media player, but shows scrambled, frozen screen - "An error has occurred attempting to play media." or "The media being played is of an unsupported format."

- Ubuntu w/VLC: Scrambled video plays, no audio.

- Windows XP/WMP: "Windows media player cannot play the file because a network error occurred."

- WIndows XP/VLC: Scrambled video plays, no audio.

- HTC Touch Pro: Times out


Files that are not .TIVO stream properly.

.TIVO files streamed properly before 2.5+ upgrade.

I'm seeing the same issue. I've been a casual Orb user for years, and haven't had a problem streaming .tivo files before the 2.5+ release.

We confirm this issue and the same has been notified to our engineering, hopefully it should be fixed in an upcoming version.

Last post was Nov 30. any ETA on when this issue will be fixed?

I ahve a question. You had Tivo files working in the previous release of the ORB server. This version is it broken. What I don't understand (as a programmer), is why you cannot go back to the previous "working" code for playing Tivo files?

Or is it diabled due to some legal reason?

I paid for the iPhone app with the main purpose of watching my Tivo on my iPhone. Is there a plan on fixig this issue in the near future? Please let us know if it is a legal issue with Tivo.

P.S. I do have to say that you REALLY did a great job of fixing whatever issue you had with streaming radio stations that I set up on the server. It was horrible on my iPhone (kept getting dropped). It is working great in this release.

I tried it, it "seems" to work partially. Still buggy. The there is only partial image (the lower part of the screen is not viewable) and the image that is viewable is distorted.

But it is a start. As long as there is progress, then I am happy.

It also seems that Orb version 2.54.0018 is buggy. Keeps crashing when doing its normal search and update of it's database. I have been sending regular crash reports back to you guys. Probably the same error over and over. But I can't be sure.
