Post troubleshooting streaming on phones
First you need to know what stream format is supported by your phone:
- Smartphones & Windows Mobile 5 devices support Windows media
- Most Nokia phones support Real media
- Most other phones support 3GP media (AMR, AAC)

Then go to this URL to try our sample streams: http://test.orb.com
If you cannot stream this content it means that your phone or data plan doesn't support internet streaming.

Then you must verify that the correct media type is selected in the Tools page on your phone. Orb does it best to pre-select it for you but it's not always possible or accurate. Sometimes it may pre-select 2 formats like Real and 3GP when in fact your phone only supports 3GP. So the safest thing to do is to leave only 1 media type selected in this page. (*)

Note: 3GP phones should also have High Quality selected in order to support AAC streams (very good audio quality)

After this, test that internet TVs and internet radios work regardless of their format (Orb handles the transcoding to the proper format)

Other steps to follow in case of streaming error:
- Check that you can stream the same thing from a PC browser to see if this is specific to your phone. If not, fix the problem for the PC first.
- Check that your bandwidth is adequate. Video and TV usually require a minimum of 30Kpbs to be of acceptable quality.

If the stream works but there is too much buffering it's most likely a bandwidth issue: either Orb didn't measure the speed correctly or you just don't have enough bandwidth at this time. See this post for speed test tips: http://forumsutf8.orb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=421

When everything fails, please do not respond to this message but post a new topic in the section "Technical Discussions" with all the details necessary for us and others to understand your problem (see forum guidelines at http://forumsutf8.orb.com/community/vie ... php?t=1579)
