Post new orb update on appstore.. allows live tv over 3g network
Somebody from the "orb networks" please reply. I'm jailbreaking my 3g iphone sometime this weekend when the jailbreaking process is unveiled. Will the current orb version be compatible? Or does orb need to release an updated version for it to work on firmware 2.0?

You don't know when to quit do you? ;-)
Sorry the current OrbLive version won't work on the 2.0 firmware, you'll have to wait for an update from us.

Sorry, I had to be a pest. I'm only getting the 3g mainly to jailbreak and watch orb over it with a faster connection. EDGE just isn't cutting it. Hopefully you guys can put out the update soon! Can't wait to use it on the new firmware with 3g. Thanks Yohan.

You're one determined poster, Tamakin! :D

I don't blame you, though. I've bumped a couple of threads here as well concerning OrbLive on the 3G and there have been absolutely no answers. I don't know if this particular subject is being ignored intentionally or what. OrbTV worked great for me on my v1 iPhone and I'd like to get it for the 3G, but no one here seems to want to address the issue...

I'm sure they'll have it working for the 2.0 firmware. For now, I can just carry my old jailbroken iphone and the 3g iphone so I can have the best of both worlds.

Post Why I bought 3G
I have to say that Orb, which worked great on my 2.5G iPhone, when I was using WiFi, was one of the top reasons I purchased a 3G iPhone; so I could watch TV and recorded video on my iPhone; so of course I am anxious.... Hoping for an app store application; but happy with a "jailbreak" app... though first things first .... need a jailbreak....I hope this is soon... surely, the were playing around with the SDK....

I think it will come out sometime in December. Can't possibly see it coming out before then.

The NES emulator app is already compatible with 2.0 firmware. What's up with Orb? When can we expect the update?
