Post Here is another (simple) Add-On
Orb's distribution comes with 3 Add-Ons, AccuWeather, Bookmarks and Yahoo! Finance. Here is a simple new one: Lists.

Lists allows you to create lists like a shopping list or a todo list, or whatever, hosted on your Orb PC and accessible from anywhere.

The way I use it? When I think about stuff to buy, it's often at home. From my PC or my PDA, I enter the new item in the appropriate list. Once in the store, I access it from my cell. Easy.

How to install it?
- Get http://orb.com/download/add-ons/Lists.zip on your Orb PC
- Stop Orb
- In the zip, there is a Lists folder. Copy it in: C:\Program Files\ORB Networks\ORB\bin\AddOns
- Start Orb --- That's it!

To see it, go to http://my.orb.com and in the Add-Ons section, Lists will appear. Pretty cool.

To develop your own Add-on, go to: http://www.orb.com/download/api

I believe that the source code of Lists will be posted there soon. I also think that a SourceForge project with lots of tips and tricks will be up soon.

Enjoy and be wild... If you have any question, this is what this forum is about, a bunch of Add-Ons developers are hanging out around here...

Post Question about your implementation...
I just had a simple question, can you add items to your list through Orb, or is that only done at home through another client?

I just basically want to know if orb supports bi-directional communication or if it is only a read only...

Yes, you can add/remove/view items through Orb.
Also there's an installer available for it.

I've had this plugin installed since it first came out and have a couple of feature requests.

Could you add an option to add multiple items to the list at once
Could you add an option to sort the list
Could you add an option that when something is done, it isn't deleted, but is instead crossed out or the icon changes, I like to keep things on my todo list so that I remember that I have done them.

Thanks and I enjoy the plugin.[/list]
